Phyl Baker, R.N., C.N., Esthetician, founder of NaturaLash Eyelash Extensions

“Many families have witnessed the suffering of cancer victims and experienced the emptiness that remains if their battle is lost. I love the lighthearted approach of this event and the fact that we don’t have to walk or run!

Raw bra is about healthy diet and ‘eat dessert first’ (my sister Chris’ last quote to her family). She would have embraced the Bra Art project. We would have spent many hours designing bras together but her 10-year fight was lost last year. Her ceramic platter and sense of humor is incorporated into the piece.”

Phyl's Story

Phyl is currently a R.N., licensed esthetician and certified nutritionist in private practice specializing in anti-aging and eyelash extensions. After a 20-year hospital nursing career, the beauty industry was a welcome and extremely rewarding move that led to teaching high-tech esthetics for several companies. She is the founder of NaturaLash Professional Eyelash Extension Products and Training. Many of its technicians specialize or participate in assisting cancer patients cope with hair loss and self-esteem issues.

Her favorite thing is spending time with her family (husband of 34 years, four grown and graduated kids all with great spouses/significant others, one totally fun, responsibility-free granddaughter, four rescued cats, three dogs and lots of V.I.P. relatives). She and husband, Bill, plan to restore a vintage Airstream motor home (yes, they made motor homes) and eventually take the Bra Art exhibition on the road so that others can experience the creativity, time and heart involved in designing the bras.  

In her next life, she is going to be a real artist, a “rocket scientist” with a full understanding of quantum physics, and a decent home cook.
